Today’s guest post comes from Colour Graphics and is a great reminder that guerilla marketing tactics should not be overlooked by small business owners, so long as their ROI is being tracked. A mass outdoor poster campaign, projected messages on buildings, and so on are relatively cheap but incredibly effective.

Today is a super short video just to give props to an awesome tool: Credit Karma.

Not only this great in the short term because you save money by getting to file for free, it’s also great in the long term because, hopefully, Credit Karma will start to steal some of the business away from Intuit, which owns TurboTax, and H&R Block.

It’s guest post week again and today we’ll hear from the team at NCC Home Learning about how to deal with the external pressures on your business. A celebrity says ‘use this!’ and people can flock to buy your product or celebrities (and others) say ‘don’t use this!’ and your market can disappear in one tweet, one poster campaign, one Facebook post.

Today I want to take a quick moment and discuss the difference between quitting and giving up and why, sometimes, quitting is the absolute best thing you can do for your chances of success as an entrepreneur.

Here’s the thing though, if you want to live to fight another day in this battle that is entrepreneurship, you have to learn the difference between quitting and giving up.

Affordable premises – alongside traditional constructions, there are also more affordable business premises coming to the market in the shape of pre-fabricated or modular buildings.

Today I want to talk to you about something that doesn’t really get discussed a lot but that is a huge issue for most people as they build their businesses: impostor syndrome.

There is a need to always focus on the positives with your growing business as you’re out in public because you don’t want to lose credibility by saying you didn’t pick up as many clients as you’d expected this past month or one of your customers was super slow to pay so now you’re really struggling with cash flow.

Today I want to talk to you about guest posts and how to increase the chances that your submission will be accepted. I get tons of pitches from people who want to write about totally unrelated topics.

Today I want to talk to you about crowdfunding – not equity crowdfunding – just regular old, plain vanilla, rewards-based crowdfunding that has been around for years, and how to decide whether it’s a good move for you and your business. If you want to be successful at crowdfunding, you need to be able to create buzz around your project on your own.

It’s guest post week here on New Venture Mentor and today we’ll hear from Bea Maiz, who shares an infographic created based on an article by Thomas Oppong, about the makings of an entrepreneur.

Anyone who’s started their own business knows that becoming an entrepreneur is not for the faint of heart.

Today’s post will be super quick and super focused: it’s a discussion of the absolute best productivity personal management tool out there, follow-up then.

I’ve done a few posts about productivity tools and tips and I have mentioned some of the tools I use to keep me on track but today I want to go into detail on the one that is, in all honesty, the number one key to a lot of my career success.

This week is a little different than normal because, even though it’s guest post week, I don’t actually have a guest post for you. I was almost immediately intrigued – and thought I might actually like this thing – though, when the book began by explaining the importance of identifying and understanding your ideal customer so that you’re not wasting valuable time and energy on marketing that won’t land with your target group and highlighted the importance of measuring the return on investment of your marketing activities.

Today I am responding to a request from one of my followers, Andries Baloyi, to explain the business model canvas.

Andries, I hope that helped answer your question.
